Playdough

Playdough plays an important role in strengthening the muscles and fine motor skills associated with pre-writing skills.

Playdough stations provide opportunities for children to not only make but to design their own playdough using ingredients, colouring, scent, herbs, spices and loose parts to make marks and imprints.

At Acorns Henbury we have given our station a farm kitchen inspired theme while at Acorns Aviva we have taken advantage of the natural sunlight that pours in through the large windows by adding coloured transparent sheets in the background. Both very different but both designed to capture children’s interest and provide an invitation to learning.
