Toy Testing in John Lewis

Acorns children became ‘Toy Testers’ for the day. They were invited to the John Lewis Toy Department to play with their predicted Christmas bestsellers and giving their honest reviews.

John Lewis Cardiff has launched its Children’s Festive Pop Up Shop on the third floor of the city’s much loved department store. The twelve children from Acorns Nurseries attended John Lewis Cardiff to give their verdict on predicted best Christmas sellers. The toys included a walking robot, sparkly Play-Doh, a car wash and Waitrose cash register. There were also some classic dolls, train sets and the much loved Peppa Pig.

The lively toy testing session allowed the children to select firm favourites and share their opinions with managers from the Cardiff branch. The children’s verdicts will now be captured on a gift label and displayed within the Children’s Festive Pop Up Shop on the third floor.

Head of Branch, Cliff Vanstone said, “We were only too pleased to welcome the children from Acorns Nurseries into the branch. We pride ourselves on offering customers expert knowledge and when it comes to toys, this group of children certainly knew their stuff! We are excited to share their verdicts with our customers and we hope it helps friends and family choose gifts for smaller people this Christmas.”
