Meet our Team -Cherie Wilson

Cherie Wilson is our Operational Director at Acorns and she oversees the day to day running of all 11 Acorns nurseries as well as leading and inspiring the team around her.  She is always on hand for help and support for staff and parents. Cherie has been with Acorns for 26 years and due to this length of service, has had the pleasure of employing nursery staff who came to Acorns as babies!

Cherie qualified as a Nursery Nurse and began her Acorns career at Baby Acorns in 1990.  With training and experience, her role in the company developed and she was soon promoted to Nursery Manager.  In 1997 Cherie took on the additional role of Manager at Acorns Oakfield Street.

Cherie then transferred to our Head Office in the summer of 1999. The experience of managing the nurseries, waiting lists, customer care and the commercial business needs were put into practice as her role as Placement Manager. During this role, Cherie worked very closely with the Directors and took on the role of Operational Director in 2000.

Cherie is always available to liaise with our parents. Her own two boys attended Acorns, so she knows first hand the experience as a nursery parent.  She thrives on inspiring the management team and nursery staff to take the company forward and works hard to ensure the very best care and education for all Acorns children.
