Change a Life for NSPCC

Meet Penny. Thanks for all your donations so far for our ‘Change a Life for NSPCC’ appeal.

As you are aware, our chosen charity for the last few years has been the NSPCC, and thanks to the fantastic generosity of our parents and staff we have been able to make a huge difference to the Christmas festivities for many children who otherwise may not have had any gifts to open.

As part of our ongoing support for children who suffer neglect, abuse and unhappiness during their early childhood, we have decided to continue our fundraising throughout the nurseries during the 2 weeks following the Easter holidays and thought it would be fun to fire up the competitive spirit throughout the nurseries with a game entitled “CHANGE A LIFE FOR NSPCC”.
During the 2 week period from 11 April to 22 April each nursery will have a container in the hallway to collect any loose change that parents may wish to donate. Each day the Nursery Nurses will draw around a child using card and the other children in the group will stick the loose change to this cardboard cut-out. This will then be displayed in the nursery – thereby “changing a life”. We are not asking for any particular denominations of coin – 1p, 2p, 10p or 50p they all add up and help to fill the shape!
At the end of the two weeks we will present NSPCC with the coin filled cut outs from all our nurseries and hope that this really will change a life and make a difference.
Thank you for your continued support – get those pennies at the ready !!
