New Year, New Ideas

Our Nursery Managers underwent a 2 day intensive training course last week at Acorns House.  The course was hosted by Chris Mullane, our Safeguarding Training Consultant, and covered all areas of Safeguarding and Child Protection in Management.  Our Assistant Managers and Team Leaders are looking forward to updating their child protection qualifications in the next few weeks as part of Acorns ongoing training programmes.

Acorns firmly believe that all staff should be trained in Safeguarding, First Aid and Food Hygiene and we ensure that all members of our team regularly update their professional development.  We also offer staff the opportunity to expand their careers within Acorns by offering Forest School, Makaton and Management Training amongst other opportunities, enabling everybody to reach their maximum potential.

Our ethos is that the care of the children is paramount.  Staff who are confident, capable and happy in their roles are able to provide the very best care.

Happy staff means happy children.
