Makaton Signing at Acorns

Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of learning to talk. At Acorns our staff believe that signing is part of every day communication with the children and helps develop their speech, language and understanding.  Our Nursery Nurses use Makaton signing with the children as a natural part of their day. Our Sing and Sign Specialist Mrs Watt visits each of our Cardiff nurseries on a regular basis to develop the children’s signing skills. We are pleased to announce that parents will be invited to join their children in Makaton Sing and Sign sessions in the nurseries early in the New Year, to help you understand and communicate with your child.
